Competitive Program Try-Outs 2016-2017

All Players interested in trying out MUST register ONLINE PRIOR to showing up at the field.  One time $25 try-out fee.  

Parents will be contacted by e-mail if your son/daughter will be on the team!  

Competitive Soccer Overview: 

Palmetto Bay Soccer will offer competitive travel soccer for Ages U6U14 for 2016-2017 season. All travel coaches will be licensed with the Florida Youth Soccer Association (an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation) The teams registered will play in local Dade Leagues depending on the competition and distance to travel.  Dade is Coral Gables, Doral, Pinecrest, West Kendall, South Miami, Hialeah, Cutler Ridge, Miami Springs, and Miami Lakes.  

Registration Fee: $350 plus monthly training fee.  This includes a practice uniform, game uniform, and a bag.  Fees for FYSA affiliation for the player, Coach, and Club. (Monthly fee starts in August- May) 10 month commitment Does not include League fees, referee fees, or any tournaments. * Registration fee can be paid by June 30, 2016.   

Additional Costs:  There will be additional costs to the player that are not covered by the registration fee. Each team is responsible for these additional costs, which include: referee fees, head coach travel reimbursement, tournament fees, leagues fees etc. These fees vary according to the tournaments that are attended.   

Commitment: (August 2016 – May 2017) 10-month commitment  Players registering for the Travel Program are committing for the seasonal year according to FYSA rules and by laws. Training/Practice: Travel teams will train two times per week at Coral reef Park. The Club and Coach will determine exact days and times of practice. Your Coach will notify you with this information as soon as it is available.    

Practice Schedule:  The program dates for practices will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays but the times will vary each season because of daylight savings. All practices will be at Coral Reef Park.  

Fall (August – October 5:00pm-6:30pm Winter (November- March) 4:30pm-6:00pm Spring (March- May) 5:00pm-6:30pm  
Trainers & Coaches:  The Director will appoint trainers and/or Coaches for each Travel team.   Monthly coaches training fee varies from $100 -$120 per player.   

Team Manager / Team Parent:  Each team will have a parent team manager, appointed by the team coach, who handles all the administrative duties of the team. Each team manager working collaboratively with the coach will provide information about the team, the team budget, travel arrangements, travel paperwork, and all other administrative needs of the team.
